The World Pulse Board of Directors is delighted to announce Lourdes Rivas as the next CEO of World Pulse, beginning September 1. Based in Barcelona, Spain, Lourdes will collaborate with and be supported by our global leadership team, executive and community boards, and Global Advisory Network.

Meet Lourdes

Lourdes is an accomplished Argentinian technology leader, multilingual specialist, and entrepreneur deeply dedicated to shaping technology for social impact and gender justice. For the past three years, Lourdes has been Head of Technology at World Pulse, leading breakthrough advances in our social network design and community growth. During that time she’s fallen in love with our global membership and mission and forged connections that she says have changed her life.

Lourdes' tremendous passion, expertise, and lived experience will help advance World Pulse’s unique position of using technology to activate the power of even more grassroots voices in more languages.  

Lourdes will lead World Pulse with the support of the Executive Leadership team: Corine Milano, Head of Storytelling; Moutushi Dey, Head of Operations and Finance; and Kirthi Jayakumar, Head of Community Engagement.

She will also receive guidance from World Pulse's Powershift Inclusive Excellence collective, a community-led governance body comprised of 12 community members who guide key aspects of World Pulse’s future as a social network platform leader for inclusivity.
